Udaterui.exe-bad image

    HI ALL,
    Please i have a problem with my system when i tried to log on.
    it gave me the following error message.
    " The application or DLL C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\0409\AgentRes.dll is not a Valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette ".

    Also....do you use McAfee?
    "not a Valid Windows image" error is often a sign of some infection.

    I'll chime in with a follow-up to Broni's question and possibly his train of thought.

    Please upload
    C:\Program Files\McAfee\Common Framework\0409\AgentRes.dll
    to one/both of the following online single-file scanners and let us know the results.

    You titled this thread, "Udaterui.exe-bad image" but your message says nothing about Udaterui.exe (which is also apparently a McAfee-related filename).

    Why did you title this thread as "Udaterui.exe-bad image "?

    And...

    What exactly did you do to produce the error message(s)?
