    Ramona,

I switched to importing my mozilla bookmarks to NS4.79 to seach and delete dead links that Zenu Link Sleuth finds, then reimported them to Mozilla (after first deleting the existing ones), which might be the source of my problems with the sort order not displaying in the bookmarks drop-down list, I don't know. I just thought that it was a NS7/Mozilla quirk. It's no big deal since I don't want to sort my bookmarks in alphabetical order - I like them organized my own way ;)

I didn't try sorting my bookmarks until you brought it up to BB. Maybe I'll try sorting them by Location as a way to find the dead links that Zenu reports, then either move them into a "dead Links" folder to review later (I can move bookmarks into other folders while in sorted view... I just can't rearrange them within any folder) or else delete them directly. The problem with that is, you have to open all your folders :(

Too bad Mozilla's search feature doesn't let you delete bookmarks, like NS Communicator does.

You told me about copying/renaming bookmarks.html/bookmark.htm before. I tried it once but for some reason I swittched to importing back and forth, I forget why. Might have been an issue with the tabbed bookmarks, I don't remember. Thanks for the reminder though.

Well, after a few days now and no problems it looks like the shutdwon problems that I had before may well have been cause by Real Player.

Or maybe an error or two on my part when installing NS for the first time.

My other machines had developed a few problems and I found that RP had been installed on it.

Somebody was apparently on the Net and required RP and they clicked Yes instead of stuff it. ( OOPS !!, I mean no ).

I have the strange feeling that it was Sneaky litttle Niece that did it.

I have had things blocked with NIS from going to the Net only to find them going there.

HMMMM !!! do you think that I had better keep a little closer eye on the Brat ( I mean kid ) ?

You're a nasty piece of work, ain't you, BillyBob? I'll wager that you've already drafted a letter to Santa informing him of this act of naughtiness?

    ;)

Ah well, if it isn't wee Brett bringing us his Christmas cheer!

I would have thought you'd be too busy shoring up those 18 Security Holes to be cavorting in the Netscape Forum? :p
