I have Internet Explorer 6.0 on my Windows XP computer and I am skeptical of upgrading to Internet Explorer 7 because I am used to IE 6 and I am not thrilled with undertaking a new learning experience with IE 7 (my understanding is that IE 7 is completely different from IE 6). Is there any way that I could try out IE 7 so that if I don't like it I can delete it and go back to IE 6? Also is there some sort of a web site I could visit to see how to work IE 7? Thank you.

IE7 is about 95% "the same" as IE6. THe biggest difference is the tab browsing feature which you can turn off....

    See the attached picture.
Instead of opening more then one IE browser window for here and MSN.com, I have two tabs..I can click on either one and go back in forth....Can have as many "tabs" as needed.

I was introduced to Tabs with IE7. I hated it and quite often lost the page I was visiting. Now, though, some months later, I have learned to find it very convenient - its worth the effort.

Download and install IE 7 - if you don't like it it can be uninstalled through Add/Remove Programs which reinstates IE 6.

In IE 7 under Tools > Internet Options > General Tab there is a Tabs button - hitting that brings up a dialogue box with the option to turn off tabbed browsing.

Sure, install it and if you don't like it you can unistall it in add>remove programs. Uninstalling it will revert you back to IE6. I've done it several times in the past. Never had a problem.

Does that cause your settings to change?

No, it just reverts you back to IE6. Whatever settings you have or had, you'll have when you revert back to IE6.
