my computer has window vista home premium, it keeps telling me i'm extremly low on space on c drive, i've run the disk clean up several times, it seems to clean up a small amount of space, i've deleted files, but it seems that no matter how much i clean up, it's not enough and by the time i go back to see how much space it cleaned up, it's already back down to 0.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

Disk cleanup is limited as to which files are deleted as you will have seen from the choices offered. Apart from the files you see there are hidden files and folders on your computer, one of which is variable in size - the pagefile and my guess is that it is expanding to use the free space created by disk cleanup.

Bottom line is your drive is full :) How much free space, if any is shown in Windows Explorer? - you need a minimum of 15% free space for Windows to run properly.

Off load what you can to an external drive, install a second hard drive (desktop) and transfer your data to that or do a serious cull of data that you no longer need.

We encourage all members to complete their System Specifications which help us to help you :)
