Well, Good Luck, Cyn - keep us posted as to the outcome please.

I have Win98 SE and have created a start up disk on a bootable CD which works. It would be a simple task to make another for Win 98 FE, but either should do the job.

The keyboard is the big problem.

Any Win98 SUD will work to boot any machine with 95 thru 98SE,

Just do not copy any files to the HD as they may well be different versions. But for basic booting and installing Windows it will work fine as it is out of the picture anyway once the installed is started.

In fact I boot this XP machine from the 98 SUD once in awhile just to make sure the darn thing still works.

It will not work properly with ME though.
