I am running W7 HomePrem 64bit, but this really applies to any Windows system. I can understand basics of what CHKDSK is fixing / doing, but certain messages i've always wondered something about them (see screenshot below) -- the messages in that readout, how do I find out what files they correlate to? If I get these kind of messages, is the data in the affected files unmodified? Since it doesn't list any file names when modifying security descriptor entries and index entries...

In short, security descriptors are "who has ownership and/or access rights to an object, i.e. a folder, file. registry key, shares, processes, etc." In your case, the descriptors were set to the default for 10 files.

What about the deleted index entries?
