    re:Outhouse Express

I have it someplace, but suppressed.( don't recall how ) - I also have M$ IE - but never updated or used......

    you are correct:

I guess I misworded - I was refereing to same ISP email address not program.
Yes - if you send form ONE email address to ANOTHER email address in the same ISP account - you get the RR

    Sorry if I confused things.

I sent request from one account of mine to another, from TB1.0 (the sedentary bird), and open in Mozilla1.7.5, and received the request. I then went back to TB1.0, and there was another request. Now, I am in Netscape7.2. I got an announcement to cut it out sending passwords so many time in a short period of time. But, for now, I got two confirmations. I think that this thread is getting nowhere.
I am doing this way, before sending I click on Options|Return receipt. That preference will be good for the one time.
I just got the third confirmation in Netscape 7.2. Is it possible that these request end up in the Junk folder? My ISP sent a curt message to that effect, and since it is server based, and I don't look at all that garbage, I would never know. This is a consideration.
By the way, I did not have to go near OE. Now, OE is something else. I will be posting soon about it

UNLESS one of the addresses is an alias for the other, which is my situation. JSS3rd@, JSS@, Jim@, and Dad@ are all aliases for my actual address. No RRR when I send from one to another.

    Christer,

What about disabling email scanning, and Firewall, just to see if either is the culprit?

    Ramona,
I know what is in your mind. I am scanning outgoing mail with AVG, by the way. But, I would eliminate, antivirus, firewall or any security software, one at a time.

Disabling Norton Internet Security (antivirus and firewall) made no difference

Yesterday, I sent a mail with an attachment to two recipients. The one using Thunderbird did receive the attachment but the one using Outlook Express (or Microsoft Outlook) didn't receive it.

Sending the same mail with the same attachment from OE to the same recipients, the attachment was received by both.

I was browsing mozilla.org and came across Why Use Mozilla ? where under "Mail & Newsgroups" it says:

The emphasis of "return receipts" is mine but could it be that I should install an extension of Thunderbird or something for this to work?
