Task Scheduler/System Restore Problem

Just to report back, task scheduler is working but system restore is not generating automatic restore points.

I now officially give up.

I've seen so many posts now with this condition and no joy in fixing, that I've come to the conclusion that this is a bug that MS will one day fix .

I personally don't particularly care whether or not the system does it on its own or not, I like creating my own which tend to be a lot more meaningfull anyway, ie before/after software installs, MS updates, or any significant change to the system. The auto points are arbitrary and take up disk room whether their meaningfull or not. I changed the auto point creation to 3 days in that registry entry that I gave you.
