I can't find my programs that start-up when I log on to my computer. It used to be listed in the 'Start' menu under System Configuration (I think), but It is no longer there.:(

Hi JTee. If you click Start< Run and type msconfig and hit enter, on the Startup tab you will see the items that are starting up with your machine.

Thanks Evan. Will I have to do this each time? It used to be listed when I clicked on Start. If I must do this each time to see what programs run when I start my computer, my issue is resolved:).

You can always create a shortcut for the System Configuration Utility if you don't want to use the Run window to launch it every time. Are you interested in disabling unneeded startup entries or were you just wondering how to launch the System Configuration Utility?

Disabling unneeded startup entries & background programs. The System Configuration is back in the Start list now.

Could it be that it is back on the start menu because now it's a recently opened program. Have you cleared you recently opened programs list lately that would remove it from the start menu. Why not open msconfig.exe right click on the icon in the taskbar and then pin it to the taskbar.
