FWIW, mine don't work either. I have no idea why not. I don't use them but I used to use winkey + E once in a while and it did work so I'm not sure what the deal is. There's a policy to disable them but I don't have it set on mine so that's not it. No biggy as, like I said, I don't use them anyway.
Just thought I'd let wahlroot know he/she is not alone. :)

If you use TweakUI, there is a place to allow use of the Windows+X on the keyboard. It is checked by default but can be unchecked. Under Explorer/Settings.

Could be an answer for some keyboards not working?

I just knew I would get the answer here for my problem with the Win Logo key. Went to the Doug Knox web sight and downloaded the re-enable_winlogo_key.reg Registry file and installed it. Needed to restart the computer to make it work. Thanks everyone (especialy Welshjim) for your help.

I'll be darned Jim. The script worked for me too. Thanks. I'd sure like to know how it ended up not working though. If you can come up with that, their's a beer in it for ya. ;) :D

Hmmm ... Winkey + C doesn't do anything on my computers.

I prefer to use Winkey + D to get to the Desktop screen. If I just want to see it, and don't access any of the icons on it, pressing Winkey + D again restores the windows I had open when I pressed Winkey + D the first time. Or, is that what you meant by minimize and maximize?

Now, does anyone know of any Winkey shortcuts for keyboards WITHOUT a Winkey, such as those found on IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads?

Windows key to bring up start menu, then W + C in classic view = control panel. Sorry left out a step.
