    Hi all.

I have been hosting my own websites on my own PC for a number of years rather than paying a hosting company.
To do this I use WAMP Server Apache.

With the new web requirement of using SSL for all sites I decided to change my sites to HTTPS.
I reconfigured WAMP, operned port 443 in my firewall and also setup port forwarding on my router for port 443.

Unfortunately I can't reach my sites using HTTPS.
Has anyone come across this problem?

    Quick Google search shows:

Guide: Converting Your Site From HTTP to HTTPS

    1. Get ready. Before laying down any money on an SSL Certificate and changing your website, consider the task as a whole.
    2. Purchase an SSL Certificate. Of all the steps, this is the quickest. ...
    3. Configure hosting with SSL Certificate. ...
    4. Change all website links to HTTPS. ...
    5. Setup 301 redirects from HTTP to HTTPS or consider HSTS. ...

Did you do steps these steps?

    Thanks for the input Steve.
All of these have been done.
    An update though.

I used netstat -na | find "80" and it finds that port 80 is listening.
However if I do the same on port 443 it doesn't say it's listening.
I think port 443 needs to be opened.
My firewall has it open and my router is forwarding it ok.
    I'm left thinking it's a Windows thing.

You've looked in Advance Settings under Firewall?

Interesting enough, Windows shows ports 80 & 443 as examples on my screen.

This is a TYPE-O isn't it-> However if I do the same on port 433 it doesn't say it's listening.

    It was Steve. Now edited.
RSinfo I only use McAffee for a firewall. This supersedes Windows on my PC.

Guessing you've tried various different devices to connect with.

Is there are an Error Message/Number that is shown?

Typing https:// in a browser may not be "enough" for your setup. Have you tried using a URL like so:
    your-dowmain.com:443

Also, do you have the needed Apache module installed, enabled & configured for https?

Also, are you using OpenSSL or did you actually purchase SSL certs?
