Hello Lee and welcome to the Board,

Did you upgrade Windows98 or WinME to XP?

If yes, the MS article kinked to addresses your problem:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315352

I've added to your thread title to indicate the error.

    Regards - Charles

Thank you Charlesvar, for your response...

I purchased a new computer with Windows XP SP2...

I was trying to install Avery Wizard 3.0 on the new computer...

I had Avery Wizard 3.0 on my old computer with Windows XP SP1...

The new new computer is only two weeks old, I am trying to install some of the previous programs that I had on the old computer...

I don't understand the Error messages I am receiving...

    Thanks,
    Lee Uhrich

    Hello Lee,

This is a problem with a registry key:

    http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-1606151-1.php

You might also see if there are any updates for Avery - SP2 may be at the root of this.

The search term I used Error: 1606 Could not access network location XL Start in Google which you may try. The hits all point to the registry key and changing it.

    Regards - Charles

    Hello Charlesvar,

I followed your advise, and contacted Avery... Avery said they were having installation problems at this time, with systems that have Windows Internet Explorer 7.0 installed, which my system has... The Avery Tech (Kate from the Philippines - very nice) suggested that I return to Windows Internet Explorer 6.0, and solve the installation problem... I asked her if I installed two Windows Internet Explorer editions on the same computer,
would that cause me any problems... She did not know!!! She gave me the Phone No. of Microsoft Technical Support, to ask them if two IE editions on the same computer will cause problems...

Thats were it stands for now...

    Thank you Charlesvar,
    Lee Uhrich

p.s. Charlesvar, I will keep you informed...

    Hi Lee,

Thanks for the update and yes please keep us informed.

Systems that updated to IE7 did not eliminate IE6 which could be rolled back to by removing IE7 in Add/Remove.

If I'm reading what you wrote correctly, your system came with IE7 installed. I don't know if IE6 would be there under that circumstance. Go into Add/Remove and see if IE7 has a Add/Remove entry. Probably not, but worth a shot if you haven't tried.

    Regards - Charles

    Hello Charlesvar,

I did check the Control Panel and yes there is an Add/Remove item for Internet Explorer 7.0... I also, spoke to another Tech from Avery, he, suggested I download Avery Design Pro 5 Limited Edition (Free) until the problem with IE 7.0 is corrected... That is what I plan to do...

Thank you for all your help,
    Lee Uhrich
