    [Inactive] Slow responce to pressing a key, letter appearing on the screen

    This is a re-posting which was originally posted in Windows XP operation and I was advise to re-post the issue here.

    The computer is a Acer Laptop, Aspire 3000. I'm using Windows XP Home Edition. My problem is that I'm experiencing a 2 to 3 second time delay from the time I press a keyboard key until the letter appears on the screen. I do not have this problem when I operate in Safe Mode. Mal-Warebythes is not detecting any problems and AVG Spy Ware is not detecting any infections.

    Can anyone advise me as to what I can try next?
