Shell32.dll is linked to missing SHWAPI.dll

We just upgraded a Dell Laptop from Windows 98 to Windows ME. One of the programs we are running is Adobe Photo Deluxe Home Edition. This program has always worked fine until the upgrade today. Now we are getting the following error message:

The Shell32 file is linked to missing export

SHLWAPI.DLL:SHCREATESTREAM ON FILE A

I have this same Adobe Photo Deluxe Program installed on another laptop where I am using Windows XP, so I know it works, so I figure it must be something to do with ME.

Any suggestions are always appreciated.

 

This type of error is usually caused by an incorrect version of a file. The install of ME gave you an older version of Internet Explorer. Updating IE should give you a working version of SHLWAPI.DLL.
