service pack 2 error - cannot find help

    I tried microsoft's help before that is posted above. The main problem is that anytime I work with device manager and the nvidia card (display adaptor) it shuts down. I get various error messages. I cannot work with device manager with this problem. Safe mode has not helped either unfortunately. Is there another way around this that anyone might be aware of? Is there something in the registry I should be looking for?

    AFAIK video device are listed under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video

    But I have no idea what deleting them would do. I guess if you are brave (or desperate) you could try to find out.

    I would check these things before:

    Have a backup of all user data on the system (in case you'll have to format & reinstall Windows).
