hey there everyone. joined here with the hope that i'll learn and .. eventually give suggestions whenever needed .... well... here it goes...

My Local Area Connection keeps freezing each hour. for eg. i start the pc at 2:00:00 AM.... at 3:00:00 AM Local Area Connection, freezes out of the blue.. the internet stops working, and sometimes the pc freezes aswell..

someone suggested me to check the Event Viewer @ My Computer (Manage)

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: Service Control Manager
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 7023
    Date: 11/25/2010
    Time: 2:33:53 PM
    User: N/A
    Computer: COMPUTER
    Description:
The Task Installer service terminated with the following error:
A dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

checked the DLL that is.. broken. (netevent.dll it is) tried by replacing it... the problem persists... Using WinXp SP2 Version 2002.

Tried with Some registry cleaners... no luck.. besides the LAC , u Know, u have Bytes Received and Bytes Sent.. sent jumps from 20 to 2k in 1 sec.. and Received is still at the same point (eg 15)..

i kept reinstalling the windows like... idk 40 times in the past month.. each 2 days it starts freezing, as i dont know what to do... reinstalling the windows..
i used to have the cable connected to an OnBoard Lan Card... thought this is the prob... bought a new NetCard.. the problem.. didnt fade...

You'll have to upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 3. SP2 is obsolete and no longer updated. After installing SP3, get the latest Windows Updates.

No idea what you mean by dataz, but if you mean any installed programs or your user files: these have nothing to do with the service pack level of the OS.
