    Stopping things from auto starting puts it into selective startup. Also read these links;

    MSConfig & Selective Startup Solved - Page 2 - Windows 10 Forums

    "Using 3rd party drivers rather than MS Drivers can cause Selective Startup. But, drivers from the hardware maker is preferable to MS drivers so Selective Start is correct"

    Cannot change MSCONFIG from Selective to Normal Start Up Solved - Page 2 - Windows 10 Forums
    "It's very simple, there is a service not loading, because there is not a driver installed..."

    Msconfig in selective startup - Windows 10 Support

    "because you most likely disabled a service, which means that you "select" the services you want to run on startup, making you fall in a Selective startup mode"

    Have you turned off something like Cortana or a blue tooth driver? If so then this will result in Selective Startup. Still not a problem, the computer runs perfectly fine in Selective Start up. I have Cortana turned off, bluetooth turned off among a computer other things, hence a Selective Startup because I have Selected things to NOT START but my computer runs perfectly in

    I understand that jholland.. the only way I can start the computer to where I can use it is to put it in selective start up and the boot mode into safe mode.. I get the part where selective start up is fine.. But why should I have to click safe mode to boot the pc to where I can use it ?

    Ok, got it. Ok. Computer is turned off. What exactly happens when you hit the power button to boot up the computer?

    Have you used the Startup Repair option which is what it says it is, an automated startup repair procedure.

    Run Startup Repair in Windows 10

    In msconfig have you looked at the Boot Tab to be sure there is no check mark in the Safe Boot box on the Boot Tab?

    When you go into msconfig, do NOT click Normal Boot on the General Tab before you go to the Boot Tab. Go to the Boot Tab 1st that is the only way to know for sure if there is a check mark in the Safe Mode box. If there is nothing there then go back to General Tab and do NOT click Normal, instead click Selective Start Up and make sure yours looks like mine
