    Hello...

This is Frayed Knot Arts... I'll be taking this over for Karen until resolved.

As soon as she brings me her USB keyboard we'll start the procedure.

    Thanks

    Vince

    Resolved

Tok a look at the system (Vista on a new Dell) and she had nothing on it of any importance, and restore was inaccessible. Advised her to format the C: drive and re-install OS. Also gave her the usual anti-spy and anti-malware links (none of which she had installed) as well as a link to AVG, AVAST and AVIRA... she can choose which of those to use.

Please mark thread as "resolved ".

    Last update

Karen re-installed VISTA, added AVG, Malwarebytes, SpywareBlaster, Superantispyware and I showed how to update all and set up an update schedule. All working well again.

The thing she got into was called WINDOWS PC SECURITY and it just completely took over their confuzer.
