This particular hard drive is 20 gigs, all told. The other thread you saw is about another system.

I'll download and run the software advised, and get back as soon as I have some results.

Results for the Cleanup Tool were a little odd... I'll just post the last few lines, but the tool didn't want to work until I made it all the way down to the directory and typed just "msizap G!" It was giving me an error about how "C:\Program " wasn't valid...? But after the error, I ran it a second time to see if it would come up with more, and it dumped me out an error message.

    Results here:
    Code:

Also... What about Steven Gould's "CleanUp!" program? Would that be as beneficial as the tools you've given me, or it won't have any more effect than ATF Cleaner?

I'll let you know the results from the TFC tool as soon as it's done.

I think, all those issues may be connected to your low disk space. I'd try to move some stuff out of it.

7.17 gigs out of 20 free, now.

That might be all I get... everything seems to be related to what's installed. Except under c:\program files\ where users seem to take up a little less than a gig...

Would a .net installation error cause the kinds of errors I've been having? It's for 3.0 SP1... I was reinstalling all my .net stuff, as suggested in this knowledge base article. I couldn't find 3.0 SP2, which was originally installed on the computer.
