Let me delve into the backwaters of my memory....

Something is "open" that stops the screensaver starting.

It might conflict with your power-saving settings. (Don't set timings to start at the same time).

Is it a downloaded screensaver PROGAM that has stopped working for some reason? Some screensaver programs have spyware (if you accept their Agreement).
