[Inactive] Repeated intrusions by Microsoft Killing Hazard for Windows XP

Good evening Staff and members of BBS,

My wife has used Windows XP for several years with few spontaneous malwear or virus problems.
During the last 2 weeks an intruding window suddenly appears on the pc screen, entitled: "Microsoft Killing Hazard for Windows XP." It will not allow her to close this window! Unless she immediately reboots her browser, the instructions on the screen multiply into a variety of unwanted new options and instructions.
She and I have found references to this rogue or virus on the Internet, but no specific solutions on how to eliminate the software.
Can you provide an explanation of what this intrusion is and how to permanently remove it from further browser invasion?

    Sincerely,
    Scott and Judy

Microsoft Killing Hazard for Win XP

    To the Administrator and members,
I appreciate your guidance for future posts to BBS. In the interim, my wife found the free application: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.46 at the following url:

    http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html

This software removed the problem after one scan. Her Dell pc is now free of the recurrent intrusion. I recommend this solution for others with similar problems.
