I would like to rename a folder with a bat file.
    C:\Folder to C:\SpecialFolder
Is there a way to do that.

You need to leave the C:\ off of the destination folder.

    IE
    Ren C:\Folder Specialfolder

It works. The C:\ on the destination folder was my problem. Removed that. This will save me a lot of time and effort. Thanks a lot!!!

Just as a FYI, if you do
    Start > Run > CMD
    Then enter
    REN /?

you will get the syntax of any bat command you may wish to use

WhitPhil, that is something I have never seen before. That is going into my information list. I will probably need it sometime. I like to try things that will make my life a little easier. I have several bat files that I use.

If I have told you a million times, don't exaggerate! :)

Yeah, thought you had most likely just taken the contents of the initial post and put a "Ren" in front.
