Open registry editor (regedit) and try to delete .ape subkey manually.
I know, it won't let you, but I'd like to know what kind of message you'll get.

OK, now, I know what's going on....
The whole HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT folder is treated very specially security-wise.

Right click on .ape subkey, then "Permissions ".
Make sure, you grant yourself "Full control" of that subkey.
Let me know how it goes.

    Using real Admin account?
    Or....what did you do?

From your log, I don't see all those Nero keys located in one folder, so I guess, you'll have to do it one by one.

Sorry for the delay I had a board meeting...
I did as you suggested before your mention of using the admin account...I replied prior to the need to use the admin account. I used the direction relating to permissions. Clicked on the right-clicked on sub-key and GONE..so I replied

I have not used the admin account technique as yet..but I can

Hi.. you are correct they are not in one file..sadly.. if you look at my log just using lookitup without parameters not sure of name...you will see that the paste shows all such access denied programs relating to Nero extensions etc.. - some 80 or so.. I was looking for a magic wand...LOL

    EDIT:
I am about to use the admin ploy..will feedback later

    Hi Broni
Well I used the admin facility and sadly got the same problem with the same results. Mainly the key was prevented from being changes by an unknown error type of message

I was informed that I did not have permission to/view change permission but could add them..

On the permission/owner tab etc everything was grayed out even after I entered a new owner .everyone' it could not replace/change the key. I am not sure I did exactly what I was supposed to do..and in the order that would work best. I tries the sub-key and the parent key of the offending reg entries..no luck

The "owner" name has to be one of the existing admin accounts name, not some random word.

I really tried it spent ages..they were grayed out all the block that might have had a "tick "..I was not allowed permission to even see owners permissions... etc..nothing I could do...so I tried adding an 'owner' called everyone to try and take the ownership away from whatever was blocking it...didn't work

Right click on offending entry, click "Permissions" and give a screenshot of a pop-up window.

    Upload the file(s) here: http://www.filedropper.com/

Broni..... I have manged to install or partly install an MSI version of nero 10 What I did was install it to the problem area canceled it and then went to the temp file..there was sitting the nero10 blah blah blah ...msi..so I double clicked it and it started to install etc.. it was corrupted as I expected but then I removed it with Revouninstaller and many of the keys that had real probs have either been hidden or removed..

So the images you see now are after this event..I am still trying to get rid of these but there are many many fewer than before

Images to follow. key message images (parent and sub-key

    Click OK on that error.
Now, right click again and you should be able to click on "Permissions" now.
However, you'll see this pop-up now:
    http://209.85.48.8/228/109/upload/p4466065.gif
Click OK and this should pop up:
    http://209.85.48.8/228/109/upload/p4466066.gif
    Click "Add" button.
In "Enter the object names to select" enter your username.
For instance, in "From this location ", I have: BRONI-PC, so in mentioned field, I enter: Broni
Click OK and now "Permissions for xxx" shouldn't be grayed out.
    Checkmark "Full control ".
    Click on "Advanced" button.
Under "Permissions" tab highlight your name, click "Edit" button.
Checkmark "Apply these changes to objects.... "
    OK.
    OK.
    ..and OK.
The key should be yours by now.
