Zism, in case you have difficulty using Noahdfear's text file, I have edited and reposted it. Be sure to rename it from ALRem[1].Txt to ALRem[1].Reg. You will know when it is done correctly when it's file icon changes. The new icon have what looks like Rubic's cube coming apart on it.
The edit was the first line, REGEDIT4 in place of "Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ".

Wow!!! Alot of work for !!!?????

I came into this a little late but ---if you don't have alot of stuff you can't afford to lose---why not just Dump it all and start over ( reload windows ) , or save what ya can --cut your loses and then reload . There are not to many of us out there that haven't had to do that once in a while and sometimes ---it even does your puter good to get a fresh start . In any case please post your end solution and result . I would have propbably opted for the dump rather than the headache if the lose was less trouble than what I have seen you going through so far ----Wow!!!!! I know thats not much help , but maybe worth considering
