    hi,

    does anyone know how to access the read ahead settings on xp prof SP2, for the life of me i cant seem to find the settings

    yeah that just seems to tell you how to do it in win98? for some reason i dont seem to have read ahead options on the ide channels?

    Welcome to the boards. You should really be running SP3 on your XP machine. You are WAY behind on your updates and are very vunerable for security problems.
    Please go to User CP near the top left of this page and fill in your System Info.
