Resolved Re Start xp

windows xp Home Ed.

I shut down and re start xp and it takes a half hour to restart any fix?

Have you checked your disks by running chkdsk /r ? Could be a disk problem too.

 

All fix, I unchecked stuff running in the back ground and I did a chdsk everything is running good now . thank you,sorry I didn't get back sooner but I was away.

 

How did you do this? Hope it was not with MSCONFIG... That is for testing purposes only. You can use a program like Code Stuff Starter or Mike Lin's Startup Control Panel. I have use Mike Lin's for years and never a problem Small download and easy to use.
