quicktime error -2096

    I am having a problem with initalizing itunes on my computer. I keep getting this error message quicktime failed to initialize (error-2096). I have removed both itunes and quicktime several times and reinstalled them both and I keep getting the same mesage. Does anyone know what the fix is for this?
    Please Help!!
