Problems in Windows XP

Hello Masters

I am facing some trouble these days. Few days ago, I wanted to install a software from a CD i bought from the market. I insert the CD and then autorun started a program, but suddenly McAfee Scan Alert shows me an alert that the file has some viruses and I ejected the CD before any installation.

After that here are the issues :

1) On Shutting Down, My Windows keep showing the shutting down message and never shut down.

2) My computer become slower

3) Most of the time, I have to work on internet, but after the issue, browsers are slower, when I start typing something, it STUCK in the MIDDLE and then start typing again. Mean I press the keys and on screen there is nothing typed, but after 10-20 seconds, it shows everything I typed.

4) When I load any website, it seems that my browser is STUCK or my computer is hanged, but it starts the website after some time.

Please let me know what the problem is most likely. Is my computer infected ?

I am a PHP programmer, and I have a lot of softwares installed on my machines and I dont want to format and re-install everything. It will take too many time for me.

Please guide me what to do .
