    Hi

I want to connect a D-link DWL-2100 AP to my Lan network. I' ve already set up the AP: Run the wizard and then assign a new, free static ip (ip, subnet mask, gateway) from my Lan to it (no DHCP). I connect it via cable to a lan port on the wall nearby which is checked and is ok, I see the SSID to my smarthone, BUT the smartphone remains waiting to get an ip from the AP.
I tested the AP to my home network, connected on my router and it worked perfect.
Is there something more I can configure ?

    Thanks

Well what then is the problem? That the phone cannot connect?

Also, make sure the AP is set up correctly. If the router LAN IP is 192.168.1.1 then the AP settings should be:
    IP: 192.168.1.x
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0
    Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    DNS: 192.168.1.1

The default Dlink IP is 192.168.0.1. If your router is 192.168.1.1 then you must change the Dlink from 0.x to 1.x.

Best to set up the Dlink using a Web browser and NOT the software wizard. Access the Dlink using its LAN IP address in a browser.

The problem is that the IP of the AP cannot be assigned to a mobile device although the SSID is traceable. And yes, I 've set it using the web browser (I set the default Dlink IP and then assign my network's IP to it)

    It's unclear what that means.
    Answer this:
What is the AP IP address?
What is the router IP address?

The AP's default IP was 192.168.0.50. I assigned the AP a different, static and free IP from my LAN. No device can connect to it.
