    Hello:
I have a Compaq Computer with Windows XP version 2002 plus many updates/hotfixes,etc. Outlook Express 6
I have financial reports (which i requested)which are sent to me daily by Morningstar, however they go straight to Deleted Items folder.
but on a Win 98SE Laptop i also have they go to Inbox.
I have compared settings under Tools/Options/Security and the only difference is , in XP there is a message" do not allow attachments to be saved that could potentially harm my computer ".
They are not Attachments, but i unchecked that; however nothing changed.
Awaiting help (note: Morningstar is not in blocked sender list, nor under Message Rules as i do not have any message rules)
..MIR11 .below is what i get.

    Look in Tools->Message Rules->Block Sender's List or

Look in Tools->Message Rules->Mail and see if you have any rules setup.

MIR, you shouldn't add info in response to a reply. You should add a reply and give the info. Steve would never know you (sort of) replied to his suggestion, because your thread would not mark the fact that you added any info.

On the Win98 pc, look through the email account settings for the option called "Leave Mail on Server" and make sure its turned on.

Your 98 pc is probably causing the problem.

In Outlook Express on the Win98 machine click on Tools->Accounts

    Hello Steve
I fail to understand how my Win 98SE Laptop (which receives the reports, and puts them in Inbox) can cause XP 'Junker to place the report in Deleted Items..

There is a hugh difference between Not receiving and receiving them to the wrong folder.

Hopefully someone that has had this issue before will come along.

In the mean time, just drag the mail back to the inbox.

With the message in the JunkMail folder, right-click the message & select Junk E-mail > Add Sender to Safe Senders List

    Problem Receiving Reports

    Dear Arie:
There are 2 reports from yesterday in Deleted Items folder, i do not see a Junk Mail folder.
I right Clicked, but there is not an option to send to safe senders list.
I can send it ti Inbox from there, but why does Win98 IE 5 accept it into Inbox, but XP puts in Deleted Items???

I even turned Firewall OFF Overnight to see if that affected it, but they still went to Deleted items automatically............
    I Hate MSFT/WINDOWS XP.........

Oh... sorry, deleted items. I have never seen that happen by itself (although that doesn't mean it couldn't), so make sure there is no rule set to move these to the deleted items folder.

 Are we talking about POP3 or an IMAP account?

I doubt it has anything to do with your OS.

Windows firewall would/can block things. It can't tell OE to send mail to the delete folder...

When you open OE and click on Tools->Message Rules->Block Sender List do you see anything on the list. If so, Remove ALL of them.
