I saw for the first time today the I Touch Pod, 8gb for $229. Its got a lot of features, most of which I do not feel like paying for, such as games, music, etc. Actually, all I want is the ability to browse the web, and send and receive e-mail via wi-fi.

Can anybody recommend a similar shirt pocket sized product for about $100 or so for the very limited features I want?

The Mio Digiwalker P550 is listed new at around $250. I don't know how Samsung thinks this two year old product can compete with Apple's $229 I Touch Pod. The $129 price on Geeks.com is for a "refurbished" item.

Do you have any details on a comparitive analysis of the two?

I wish I did. You did say "about $100 ". I'm not sure you'll find any current ones for less than $200. I am not really sure what they mean by refurbished - I doubt they would have a bunch of "fixed" ones in stock. Its likely they picked up overstock items from someone and just checked them each out to be sure they work properly.

The last time I had something like this was about eight years ago (Palm).

    Here are some reviews:

    DIgiwalker
    ITouch

Hope this helps. Been thinking about getting the Digiwalker myself - (less dent in my budget)
