Resolved Pipvertise: an ad service I want to permanently remove

Good afternoon Staff and members,
Yesterday, 01/03/2012, Pipvertise, an advertisement company that offers to advertise "any thing you desire" suddenly appeared on my Google Chrome browser window without any warning and cannot be removed in any manner I have found. Neither Firefox nor MSIE has been infected so far. The home page for this intruder is: https://www.pipvertise.co.uk/advertiser/home/.
Please help me to permanently remove this space occupying ad from my computer.

Both McAfee and Malware scans revealed no virus or malware to explain or remove this Pipvertise intrusions. Uninstall and reinstall of the Chrome browser has fully removed all the web page slow down and ad invasions.

When I left click the down arrow the only drop down menu I can find is "printable version ".

PS now at the top of the tread after posting my reply, I can see another type of Thread Tools; this one does display the resolved option.
Again, BBS seems to have become very complex
