    Hi Tom,

I'll give your suggestion a try. However, I just booted to SafeMode and guess what? Everything opened from the Desktop perfectly!!!

EDIT: After fooling around with file associations, open withs, etc., etc., rebooting between changes and nothing changing, by rebooting to Safe Mode and opening as many pic files as I could from the Desktop, everything is working again; except the Desktop Icons for web shortcuts. When I drag an address to the DT, it's an IE icon and not SeaMonkey. And when I click on them, a blank IE window comes up. By copying the address and pasting it into SM, when I drag it to the DT, the IE icon shows, but when I click on it, it opens in SeaMonkey; but only once. The next time I click on it, it reverts to opening a blank IE window.

So, how do I change it to show the SeaMonkey icon and not the IE icon and open in SM?

Now, this begs the question: Why would booting to Safe Mode fix the pics?
