Ughhh ....... since it does show up in Add/Remove, download Revouninstaller (there's a standalone version - Portable) and run it. PC Mightymax should show up. Select it and click Uninstall. Choose the Advanced mode after clicking Yes to the 'Are you sure' prompt, then click Next. Allow it to scan for files and registry items and remove whatever it finds.

Let me know how that goes.

Download RegSeeker and do a 'Find in registry' for PC Mightymax. Select the Classes_Root, Current_User and Local_Machines hives, Values, Data and Keys. Once the scan is finished, click Select>Select All, then click Action>Export selected items. It will place the export in the RegSeeker>Backups folder. Please zip that reg file and email it to me.

Now, highlight and copy the contents of the code box below.

    Code:
    cd "%userprofile%\desktop "
    reg query "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{275DBBA0-805A-11CF-91F7-C2863C385E30}" /s>peek.txt
    reg query "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{6262D3A0-531B-11CF-91F6-C2863C385E30}" /s>>peek.txt
    reg query "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{6319EEA0-531B-11CF-91F6-C2863C385E30}" /s>>peek.txt
    reg query "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\{5E9E78A0-531B-11CF-91F6-C2863C385E30}" /s>>peek.txt
    reg query "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Installer\Products\F0FA5D49EE6E57A4EB13C9C9A978DA54" /s>>peek.txt
    reg query "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags" /s>>peek.txt
    exit
    cls
Click Start>Run and type cmd then hit enter to open a command window. Right click and paste the copied text in the window. It will close and create peek.txt on the desktop. Send me that text file please.

BTW, there are no entries in the export for the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE hive. You did have that hive selected when you did the RegSeeker search?

    Hi Dave,

Here is the peek file. Yep, I did have the local machine hive checked.

Highlight and copy the following bolded command.

    regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\PC MightyMax 2007\MSFLXGRD.OCX "

Click Start>Run and paste the command in the Run dialog then hit enter.

    Highlight and copy the contents of the quote box below to a blank notepad. Save it to the desktop as;

    Filename: fix.reg
Save as type: All Files (*.*)

Double click fix.reg and allow it to merge with the registry.

Highlight and copy the following bolded command.

    regsvr32 "C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSFLXGRD.OCX "

Click Start>Run and paste the command in the Run dialog then hit enter.

    Delete the following folders.

    C:\Program Files\PC MightyMax
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start Menu\Programs\PC MightyMax
    C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Installations\{clsid folder containing installer}

Reboot and see if PC Mightymax is gone.

    Hi Dave,

The second command failed with module not found error. Mightymax seems to be gone, regseeker still finds a lot of entries for it though. I can't find any running processes for it, so hopefully it's dead.

    Hi Bill,

Please do a search for the file MSFLXGRD.OCX

Export the RegSeeker findings and send my way again, please.

    Hi Dave,

    That file was found in this path;
    c:\system32\redist\ms\system

I've emailed the regseeker results to you at the last email address you provided.

Please copy that file to the system32 folder, then run the command again.

    regsvr32 "C:\WINDOWS\system32\MSFLXGRD.OCX "

I'll look over the RegSeeker export this evening.

    Hi Bill,

If you still have the fix.reg file on the desktop, right click and Edit then replace everything with the contents of the code box below and save. Otherwise, create a new fix.reg file.

    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\TrayNotify]
     "IconStreams "=hex:00
     "PastIconsStream "=hex:00

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Management\ARPCache\{94D5AF0F-E6EE-4A75-BE31-9C9C9A87AD45}]

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ComDlg32\OpenSaveMRU\*]
     "f "=-

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ComDlg32\OpenSaveMRU\msi]
     "a "=-

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU]
     "h "=-
     "i "=-
     "m "=-

Double click fix.reg and allow it to merge with the registry.

Now open RegSeeker and select Histories>Clean StreamMRU/Streams Keys. If a new search finds anything, it will be of little to no significance.
