PC Error and Issue

    My pc screen has been freezing up or blacking out while I am playing a game that I downloaded to my pc via cd. I have been getting an error saying system terminated process and the game just stops working and most recently got an error message C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\irprops.cpl. What does all of this mean? I ran hijackthis, but I don't know what to delete and what to leave. Does it seem that I have a virus?
