When logging in to a web site my password will work one time and may not work the next time. So I went to a password generator to be sure it's always the same and have the same problem. I'm running Windows 7 Home Prem 64. I'm wondering if this could be caused by some other software or a problem on the motherboard. The motherboard is an Intel GD965LV

Your motherboard is not likely to be the cause of this.

Go to Control Panel, Internet options, General Tab, select Delete in Browsing History, check all the boxes and click on Delete at the bottom of the box.

All saved passwords will now be gone so you can start again and see if there is further problems, if there is I would suspect Malware so follow the link below, follow the instructions and post the requested logs in a new thread in the Malware and Virus forum.

Is this problem only with one web site ? If its is, most probably its a problem with the site itself & not at your end.

I can't think of any other thing that could cause this other than Malware. You must consider that no Anti Malware/Virus software is 100% so your scans may have missed something.

I can only suggest having your PC given a thorough check in our Malware and Virus forum.

Radiotech, Rsinfo is correct, I don't use it so I didn't notice but the most recent version of Firefox is 3.6.

Is yours really showing V5? If so that is further evidence of Malware but a symptom I have never seen before.
