Just curious as to what's happening with this. I see it (that message) on the status bar on many of the web pages I visit.

Here is a copy of that error message (details) when viewing this website:

    Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET4.0C)

Message: Object doesn't support this property or method
    Line: 4
    Char: 78
    Code: 0

Oh my, that appears alot longer than what I actually see! But I did a copy/paste from that error triangle

I use windows xp & IE8 when receiving this message. I had often wondered if that what is causing my "not responding" issues I have? I notice many websites use the facebook "like" button. Can anyone shed any light on this?

    Thanks!

Weeding through several links in a Google search of your problem ended with a connection to "GoogleFrame" addon in IE8.

Click Tools>Mange Addons and scroll down through the list and see if you have GoogleFrame loaded. If so, disable it. Restart IE and see if the problem persists.

If that isn't the issue, you may try clearing the cache; click Tools>Internet Options> Browsing History: Delete> and select "Temporary Internet Files. Apply. Try again.

More easy: Tools > Internet Options, select the Advanced tab and under Browsing uncheck Display a notification about every script error.

While there, make sure that both Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other) are checked.

    Didn't help

Thank you Mitchell, for your suggestion. I didn't have any add ons loaded, so there was nothing to disable. I have deleted temporary internet files both by way of internet options and disk clean up. Still no change and receiving that error.

Arie, those settings were already at the way you suggested.

I sure seem to come up with some nuisance issues. Not that I can't live with it, but was hoping there would be a fix because it's annoying and I don't feel like it's something that should be there.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!
    ~Vicki

Other then trying a full reset of IE8 & making sure you have all Windows Updates installed, no other ideas.

IE8 on XP works without any errors for me on this forum.

    Fixed?!

Thanks to everyone for your offers/advice. I did check for updates (there was only 1 critical one and several optional ones). So I did the updating. I don't understand why my computer didn't automatically do that one though, as I have it set to download updates, but let me choose when to install them!

At any rate, the problem seems to have been corrected now! While I do still see the "done, but with errors" on the status bar, that is only temporary while the page continues loading. Once the page is fully loaded, no yellow triangle! :D

Thanks again everyone & Happy Spring!
