Resolved Oracle America, what's that ?

Whilst working on computer the screen goes black and a window pops up with the following 'jucheck.ex Oracle America- Inc'.
when cancelled screen comes back on with small window bootom right, saying, 'java update available'
This also happened when starting this .
This is a pest as the screen goes black and we have to get it back.
What is it please?

Thanks doc, but what do we do ? download it? just to get rid of the nuisance ?
Why should it blank the screen ?, a bit drastic just to advertise an uograde.
What does Java do anyrate?, other than be a nuisance.

Uninstall it.

If you ever need it again, it's easy to reinstall.

Sounds like it's simply trying to get your attention.

Wow doc ! what have I started. Think I will go along with uninstall.
I will leave this open untill I am sure it is not pestering the member, then I will mark it solved.

When you uninstall Java, it can no longer pester anyone.

Got your message Steve, thanks, Not resolved yet because I had a Stroke on June 3rd and the hospital does not have wi-fi facility for patients, so spent my time playing cards on laptop. home now and recovering, I will look into this when my head is together.Will be in touch soon & thanks
