Hello Windowsbbs! I've used this website many of times, searching around, and finally, I've hit a dead spot where I am stumped at the point of the many many many issues I find upon this laptop.

So, I am currently in Safe mode at all times, Upon startup, I get a bsod after loading my preference settings from the login splash.
I have been experiencing alot of issues ever since that, safe mode, or just boot menus in general. I've tried doing all my windows config backups but it constantly tells me the files are in use most likely due to my forced being in safe mode.

I've tried to use System recovery back to a later date, but it tells me it wont save my system (unsure if this + bsod on login are cause of hard drive dying from past hard drives, but couldn't even safe mode on them when they started dying just bsods after windows loading splash)

I've tried running chkdsk, but finds no problems, also another peculiar thing that I had noticed is that my Local Disk D: is a RAW File System, Im unsure if it's a forced backup for the laptop by factory standard drive such as this, but it takes half of the available harddrive space into an unacessable Disk partition, unsure if caused by virus or as said factory default partition meant for backup of all files. I can not reinstall windows XP onto this computer because it says that there is no valid partition to install it to which is why I think it's the harddrive failing, or it could be a virus I am quite unsure, I've tried running every recovery tool, virus scanner that I could find for free.

I would surely appreciate any and all help! I can provide scanners as long as they're exe installers because it wont allow me to turn off DisableMSI or and of the safeboot registry unless i'm doing something horribly wrong.

Thank you again for any assistance you provide me with!
    -Jordan

Hey Jordan... You will most definitely get a quicker and more in depth response from the Powers-to-be and Resident Experts if you fully define your system specs. and not make them waste a post to ask for them.....just sayin'....ckl

Yes, I am sorry about the not posting of the system information, I had thought I had copy-pastaed the information, but it had not copied, Also, admin, I have tried to get onto the link you provided me with, to access the pages there, but only the announcement loads, trying to get to the area to post, wont load for me. I've sat here mashing the refresh and url bar for about 20 minutes while the loading goes on, I've done all the instructions that were provided, unable to use the anti-viruses given, tried installing comodo, then it just continuously tries to do the same update over and over and over and over, etc. Avast will not open or install. and the DDS.com log files were saved to my desktop, then disapeared, would there be a secondary area that it would've saved it to? I've lost function in my search, cannot use the system built search menu, and every time I try to save the DDS scans to desktop they dispear when I try to open them
