No Navigation

    Hello Again, have been away from England for some time.
    I get the message 'No Navigation' on start up of IE8, but I can navigate by typing in a web page in my AOL browser at the top of the screen.
    I am running XP pro.

    Does the behavior persist if you start IE in No Add-ons mode?

    To start IE in No Add-ons mode:

    Right-click on the IE desktop icon and select Start without Add-ons

    or

    Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer (No add-ons).

    If this resolves the issue disable all ad-ons and re-enable one by one until the culprit is found.

    If the issue remains try a Reset of IE - Internet Options > Advanced > Reset and read the consequences of that action before applying.

    Situation so far: Now running IE8 with no Add-ons,I now get = In IE browser, 'http.www.prizeday' quickly followed by, and in place of prizeday,'Navigation cancelled' then, What to try, "Refresh Page ". "Internet Explorer cannot display this page ".What you can try. "Diagnose connection problems ". "No Connection Problems ". " try Refresh page "
    I also get a Run Time error, Programe C\ Programe Files\ Internet Explorer\Explore.exe. R6025-Pure Virtual Function. followed by 'do I want to send error report?
    Nice one to get back into England with.

    Further to the 'No Navigation' problem, carried out the instructions, had malware run a scan cleared in excess of 400 virus/trojan . kept getting 'Uniblue' trying to scan.deleted that from 'add/remove'
    Still have 'Navigation cancelled' or 'Cannot show web page' Do not have 'Run time error' now. Bit lost what to do next.As I can still work with it I have not tryed too much but it would be nice to have a clean start-up.

    I don't see any thread in the Malware & Virus Removal forum on this issue as suggested by Arie - I suggest you follow up on his advice.

    From a PM - OP's computer was stolen so the problem is now someone else's.
