It is a pc that was built by a computer store inhouse. It has XP home prem sp3 running an amd processor @ 1.7 ghz. It has 512mb ram and an 80gb hd. It has a SiS mobo. I have eliminated any infections. Now when I boot normally, It freezes up on a blank screen. I went through the whole reload from the XP disk with my license key. I haven't activated yet because safe mode won't let it. When I go to safe boot, I get the desktop fine. Why is it not booting? Thanks for any insight...

Have you installed the motherboard's chipset drivers?

They should be available there, post the model number if you require assistance, in fact...

If this is your main system it would be helpful if you add your system details to your profile. Please click on the link and follow those instructions it could save some time when resolving this or further issues.

A common error is to forget to show your system details in your profile

If you do add your system specifications be sure to do the above :)
