Netscape 7.02 Available for Download

OK, I will heed your advice and install Silly Dog 7.02 streamline version without first removing 4.79. My concern was to be able to achieve a clean uninstall of 4.79 later. As you know, many times there are dregs and keys left whenever software is uninstalled and they must be removed manually. To do such uninstall in advance, is to make life more simple ... at least for me.

Guess what I'll do, is to copy the NS 4.79 part of the Registry in advance but the danger in this is, as I see it, that I might later remove 4.79 keys that are common to both versions. I suppose I could later compare the two lists. Anyway I have saved a copy of the existing keys in text format.

I'll copy across the plug-ings folder and download the later Java plugin and add the `button' and learn more as I go.

Your help sure is appreciated as I'm finding myself less able these days to sit and solve problems. I've had sufficient problems with upgarding as to make me gun-shy.

Don't let me push you into something you really don't want to do. I'm only thinking of the convenience to you. If you would rather uninstall all Netscape data before installing 7.02, just let me know and I'll walk you through it.
