Need to stop CD/DVD drive from reading

    I'd also remove the "Disc Detector" you referenced. Creative (audio card) software used to have this feature in their bloatware and as I recall, it made a mess of things. if you have some form of Sound Blaster card that includes Disc Detector, you will probably have to go into preferences or options or whatever to disable this from running.

    CD's yes, but DVD's no. That feature is included in Vista.
