esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point SHRegGetValueW could not be located in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll.

This is the same error I'm getting in the pop up messages. Glad you got me, huh? ;)

    No worries....I'm used to problems...hehehe
It looks like some system files got messed up along the way.
I'm not really surprised, considering pretty serious infection we've been dealing here with.

Go Start>Run ( "Start Search" in Vista), type in:
    sfc /scannow
Click OK (hold CTRL, and SHIFT, hit Enter in Vista).
Have Windows CD/DVD handy (with Vista, most likely, you won't need it).

    Go Start>Run, type in:
    cmd
    Click OK.

    At command prompt paste:
    regsvr32 shlwapi.dll
    Press Enter.
    You should receive success message.

If so, restart computer and try Eset again.
    If not, let me know.

shlwapi.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.
This file can not be registered.

Well, we're definitely dealing here with some system files issues.
Next thing, I'd recommend, would be Windows repair install: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/How-to-repair-Windows-XP-t138.html
If that doesn't correct the issue, you're most likely facing backup your data and reinstall.
I hate, when it comes to that and it'd be a very first case in a long time for me.
Let's see, if repair will work.

It'd be probably better, if you start new topic about the current issue at Windows section.
This is going beyond the scope of malware forum and the access here is very limited, just you and me.
At Windows section, you'll get more attention and more helpers.
Once the issue is resolved, you're welcome to post back here.
I wish, things went more smoothly :(
