Resolved Need help resizing HDD partitions

    Yes, the iso determines if it's 32 bit or 64 bit. A 32bit iso used with the usb will run on 64 bit, but not vice versa. The cpu & motherboard determine whether or not 64bit will run or not. The cpu must be one that supports 64bit.

    I don't know about activations because I never used win8 on usb.

    It sounds like I'd be best off formatting my thumb drive and then setting up as 32 bit rather than 64 bit.
