Hi guys i'm new to this forum, and i hope someone can help me with this problem. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit build 7600 (final). I've been using it for about a month or a little longer now, everything works fine, i'm up to date with all the latest windows updates and my Windows 7 is genuine btw, not pirated or anything.

I've had no problems with it so far until today, i installed a few games like Section 8 and Need for Speed Shift, and they all worked fine, i played them for a few hours and then turned my PC off. Later, i turned it on and whenever it tries to bootup into the desktop, it suddenly shows a bluescreen and then automatically restarts. What i mean by bootup into the desktop is that just before Windows shows your desktop, it should show a message something like "Preparing your Desktop" and then the screen changes to your desktop. Whenever i get to that screen, i get a bluescreen. Sometimes though, it will go a little further, i.e actually load into the desktop but only for a few seconds and the bluescreen shows up again.

I couldn't see what the error message was since it restarts in like 2 seconds, but i saw at the bottom of the error message there's a memory dump thing that jumped from something like 70% to 80% to 90% to 100%, and then it restarts.

I went into safemode and luckily it made a log dump or whatever u call it for me, which i've attached to this topic.

I also have Avast Antivirus Pro v4.8.1351 which is fully up to date.

I don't go online much on this PC since it's a gaming PC, the only thing i ever do is check my email but that's about it, so i don't believe this is the cause of a virus since on my laptop, i have the same setup as this PC, except i go online everyday on it and even went to some suspicious sites but my laptop still works fine.

I've never had a problem like this before and i have about 700GB of stuff on my PC, i don't wanna have to go through the trouble of reformatting and backing up all my files and then reinstalling, especially the amount of games i have to reinstall just to get all this working. Please help me out with this.

    EDIT:

Sorry forgot to upload the attachment. It seems that this forum doesn't have the option to let me upload and attach the file to this topic?? So i uploaded it to Mediafire, here's the link:

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

We encourage all members to complete their System Specifications which help us to help you :)

Only Contributing Members can make attachments and the size limit wil prevent dump data to be posted.

We do not debug dump data for you - that is something you can do yourself and post the debug log, noting .....
I don't know if it works for Windows 7 - the OS is very young and the need has not arisen thus far.

nvm guys i fixed it, i did it by choosing "Load last well known configuration" during the startup options by pressing F8 just before the loading screen. Funny coz usually this doesn't work at all for XP or Vista, but right now i rebooted several times and it seems to work fine, no bluescreens so far, so i'm guessing this fixed it.
