Nasties in HJT

i had microsoft antispyware on my system whic a feww days ago said it needed update. in place of microsoft antispyware was placed a 'windows defender', this ran ok bringing clean scans but now it is saying i have a conducent. timesink and an ad.blockchecker.

telling the program to remove all and i get an error 'Ox80501001

i ran a hijack l;og and have the sitehound nasty which i was told to ignore BUT an R1 (the last before the O2's according to the hijack this site)

You can remove the following, they weren't there in the previous log. A legitimate reason for entries like this would be for a cable internet providor. Get a new one lately?

i removed them thanks and a rescan with hijack only gives one nasty in the sitehound one. i was mailed by firetrust about it, i installed but haven't bought the full up version as i don't actually know what it does that spywareblaster doesn't.

i'm on the same 'cable provider' or who i pay my bills to in BT, they were upgrading my 2MB line to 8MB but in my area 4MB is the best i can get. to get that i needed to upgrade my modem to a router but was advised that if i signed a contract for 4MB then that is what i'll get for the year and not be offered the 8MB. i was advised to stay with the 2MB till they maybe can get the advertised 8MB. the mail i got does say 'up to 8MB*'
