Resolved My HP Notebook intermittently stalls requiring restart to recover function

This problem is very similar to the following post I submitted a few days ago as a surrogate for my wife's HP Notebook.

<Windows 7 with IE 10 suddenly stalls or will not respond; requires reboot>

My HP Pavilion g7-1310us Notebook PC has the following specifications:
OS-Windows 7, 64 bit
Processor-Intel Core i3-2350M CPU @ 2.30GHz
Installed memory (RAM) 6.00 GB
Hard Drive: 600GB
System type: 64 bit
Browser: Mozilla Firefox 21.0

Once again without warning the entire notebook stalls usually without mouse function; often without the ability to open a desktop shortcut.
Disabling the add ons including the plug-ins has had no effect. This morning I have already had 2 stalls since the plug-ins were removed last night.

Google search provides so many causes I can't decide where to go. You mentioned RESET FOR MY WIFE'S MS IE 10. How would I reset my Mozilla Firefox 21.0 browser should this be suggested?

This interruption has appeared and then become more frequent over the last 1-2 months.

Since I'm no longer able to edit my first post below, I want to add the content of a warning window that appears on the monitor screen at the time of the notebook pc stall.
