Hi tylerpowell1 and welcome to the BBS,

Display adapter software usually has the option to rotate the screen. Most can be accessed by right-clicking in a blank place on the desktop. For example, I have the selection NVIDIA Display, in that there is selection for rotating the display.

I don't have ATI or other software set up at the moment. Try looking in the Notification Tray (near the time) or in Start -> All Programs.

If you can't find it, let us know what graphics adapter you have. Someone will probably be able to look up theirs. It would be helpful if you included your system specs

If this is a laptop there is sometimes an Fn key combination to rotate the screen - check out your manual.

Press and hold one of the Ctrl keys, then use the left and right arrow keys to rotate the display until it's where you want it.

    I had the same problem

I had the same problem with a Gateway monitor. The problem was caused by the ATI Video card, ATI knew of the problem but did not have a solution. I temporally fixed it by pushing the adjustment buttons on the monitor (every monitor has adjustment buttons). You might try this and see if it gives you a permanent solution. If it does not then try the following. Go to device manager, click the + next to Display Adapters, right click your video card and click on Uninstall in the context menu that comes up; then restart the computer and the video card driver will automatically reinstall.

If that doesn't do it you might try updating the driver on your video card (go to device manager and right click on the video card, then click on Update driver software in the context menu. If it does not update the driver software go to the video card manufacturer's site and see if they have an updated driver for your video card, or at least updates for your video card driver. Good luck, I hope one of these fixes the problem for you.
