I have no idea even where to begin to try and find the resolution to this. I have been getting various Blue Screens over the past few weeks, some of the error messages are "Page Fault in Non-Paged Area" "Reference by Pointer" "IRQL Not less or Equal" and various Stop codes. This happens several times a day.

I have both Firefox and IE on this machine, Firefox has been slow to load pages if at all, and IE just keeps crashing, no matter what page I try to load. I've tried to use a couple system scan sites, but the one I saw recommended here requires me to use IE, and it's just not working. Everything else seems to cause the computer to shut down.

I am not adept at all with solving these types of problems - the machine is barely six months old, and this is really starting to get annoying. I did have some difficulty getting Windows LiveOneCare activated properly, so I suspect I may have picked something up while I was working through that mess.

Thanks for any guidance and help anyone can offer.

We can take a quick look, but, if the machine is 6 months old, I'd take advantage of the warranty.

    Download BlueScreenView
    No installation required.
Double click on BlueScreenView.exe file to run the program.
When scanning is done, go Edit>Select All.
Go File>Save Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt.
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all content, and paste it into your next reply.

    This makes me think Malware.

Read this post, then post the requested log(s) in the Malware and Virus Removal forum.

Thank you - I'm working on this, though it's taking some time as pages are not loading properly for me.

Arie had directed me to a post with a couple of dds tools to scan my system. It's gotten worse though since last night, and I can't even keep running up long enough to do anything at all. I'm trying to find some more information from a different computer now.

Yes, I can, but as it turns out, my neighbor's 15 yo came and looked at it - I'm almost embarrassed to admit that. :) He did some uninstalls of some updates, (apparently one of the Windows auto updates was no good), reinstalled a few other things and updated my wireless router. As of today, we seem to be working again. So far all day without one crash.

Thanks for your attempts to help though. I appreciate it.
